One of my most memorable cafe visits happened at the presence of some feline friends.

It was either 7 or 8 in the morning. Instead of going home after what must've been another uneventful shift, I opted to look for another place to relax. Having no location in mind and with my feet as my only compass, my search began.

I was Cafe Miau's first customer. The place was spacious and well-lit. With the decorations not obstructing the outside view, I could still see what was happening. What caught my attention, however, was the group of cats frolicking on the floor behind a glass wall. While the attendant was preparing my drink, I was ushered by another staff member - the caretaker - to the cats' quarters. As expected, the little furballs came with an independent, nonchalant stride: as if to tell me my presence neither thrilled nor displeased them. While largely unfamiliar with many cat breeds, I identified a few: sphinx, Maine coon, and British shorthair. 

While not as jumpy as their canine comrades, their quiet energy was what I needed at that time.
