Mt Mago, Danao City, Cebu | March 08, 2026

We started at around 5:00 am. Mt Mago was the perfect spot since it was beginner-friendly for a first-time hiker like me. The trail wasn't that daunting as many locals and more experienced hikers - like my colleagues at work - were present. Ah yes, as I was making my way to the peak, I was listening to J.Cole's - one of my favorite artists - The Fall Off. Ever since I started listening to him back in 2024, I've found comfort in his music when the going gets tough. 

After multiple stops, we reached the peak at around 8:00 am. The fog gave the view an atmospheric feel. That sense of fulfillment overwhelmed me for the first few minutes; then, serenity started to settle. It didn't ask me where my next destination was, but told me it would be waiting for me until I was ready for the next one.

This adventure has been lodged into memory.

 If I'm not mistaken, we were barely halfway when   this was taken. I positioned my hands that way to   maintain my balance. 

    I held tight onto some branches, hence this cut. 

             The view at the top felt so surreal.
